Berkden Kennel is a small, home-based facility dedicated to the careful breeding of Golden Retrievers. With a limited number of litters produced each year, we are able to focus on our primary goal: producing high-quality dogs. Our breeding program prioritizes superior temperament, conformation, and health, with a particular emphasis on raising puppies free of genetic disorders.

All of our dogs are raised within the home and are well-socialized from an early age. We expose them to a variety of experiences to help foster the stable temperament we strive for. They are raised directly by our veterinarian on a home farm and once they are old enough, they are exposed to a number of experiences to aid in their development into confident, healthy dogs.

Each puppy is accompanied by a two-year written health guarantee. Our breeding dogs receive medical clearances and strict screening for certified hearts, elbows, hips and eyes. Every puppy is examined by our licensed veterinarian to ensure they are in optimal health prior to leaving for their homes and receive their initial vaccinations, deworming and microchipping. We offer 30 days of complimentary puppy insurance and each puppy will be CKC registered prior to leaving us.

Once you leave the kennel we encourage you to join our Facebook group, this is a closed group that only contains members who have a Berkden dog. This group is used as a means of support for questions that may arise, and an area where you can post pictures of your new family member for fellow golden lovers to enjoy. This means that if you have any questions or concerns, you have an entire group of people willing to help. We always encourage every new owner to "keep in touch" and we offer life-long support for you and your new pet
